I am a lover of life, people, and grand adventures! I have been told that I am down-to-earth, trustworthy, detail-oriented, energetic, and fun. My passion for people, creating unforgettable experiences, and my strong desire to support others along their wedding planning journey is what inspired me to create Rising Fern Events!

Shortly after graduating in 2008 from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, I moved down to Asheville and began working as an outdoor adventure guide. I absolutely loved my job, but never lost sight of my childhood dream to become an event planner. My curiosity persisted over the next couple of years and in 2011, I became a Certified Special Event and Meeting Planner. In early 2012, I began working as an assistant with Asheville Event Company to help execute their weddings at the Biltmore Estate and served as the bridal attendant at Claxton Farm.

Over the last 14 years, my experiences have developed a well-rounded knowledge and appreciation for all aspects of the event planning world. These experiences include being a venue consultant and catering coordinator in Colorado to working on a flower farm in Australia and landing one of my dream jobs as a wedding coordinator at The Farm, an award winning venue near Asheville. It is my goal to share my knowledge with you and support you based on your needs so that I can create an experience that brings overflowing joy, ease, and organization to your wedding day!

Fun Facts About Me:

• I spent most of my 20s as solo female traveler and have traveled to 17 countries. I've also lived in South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia.
• I was born and raised in the beautiful lakes region of New Hampshire
• I love to dance and have since I was 5! I even taught hip hop and modern dance classes for a few years at a local university
• I was a competitive jump roper in elementary school. If you ask me, I may show you a few of my tricks!
• My dream dog is an Australian Shepherd
• I have a deep passion for flowers and used to work on a flower farm in Tasmania, Australia. I hope to incorporate floral design into my offerings one day!
